A day in the life.....of 2 kids, a newborn and a dog.
So, I was nursing the baby - just got him latched on when I hear shrieks of "Mama!" "Help!" "Hurry!" coming from downstairs. Leah, who was helping get lunch ready, had dropped a corndog in the bottom of the hot oven. I tell her to turn the oven off and close the door until I could get down there. A few minutes later, I smell lots of smoke and the smoke detector goes off. I unlatch the baby and hurry downstairs. After passing off the baby, I rescue the burnt corndog and air out the kitchen. I return upstairs to finish nursing. A few minutes later, the doorbell rings. A neighbor has stopped by. I unlatch the baby again and head back downstairs. After a nice visit, I stay downstairs to eat a bite of lunch and finish nursing the baby. All of a sudden, the dog starts throwing up at my feet!!!! UUGGGHHH!!! I had to laugh. Good thing Heath is a good baby, too. The third just has to "go with the flow"!

I so admire your ability to laugh when Baxter tossed his cookies on your feet. I am not quite sure what I would have done at that point....cry?! You are a great lady. I am thinking about you and praying for you. So excited to meet little Heath!!!
